If you need to modify your magazine base pad to fit with your new EGW mag well, here are a few simple steps you need to follow.

Tools needed:
1.File and/or Sand Paper (300 Grit or Higher)
2.Punch

Time Required:
5-10 minutes

First you will need a metal file and/or sandpaper. The file should be a fine-grit metal file, preferably with a flat profile, and the sandpaper should be of a similar grit to the file, preferably anything over 300 grit. If you are worried about marking your magazine, you can remove the base pad. To remove the base pad press the detent pin on the underside of the magazine and slide the base pad forward.

Once you have your tools ready, you can start filing the magazine base pad. It's important to emphasize that you should work slowly and file a little bit at a time. The goal is to remove only a couple thousandths from the upper champher of the base pad, so be careful not to remove too much material.

These pictures are after the filing was done and both magazines were tested in the Prodigy for fitment.

Be sure to file small amounts off and check fitment

After filing, use sandpaper to smooth out any rough edges or burrs. This ensures that the surface of the base pad is even and smooth, which prevents any snags or catching during use.
