Not sure which height you need? Use the EGW Scope Ring Height Guide →
First, confirm that your scope has a 1-inch main tube. The advertised objective size does not determine the ring diameter. A scope with a 40mm, 44mm, or 50mm objective may still use a 1-inch main tube.
EGW measures ring height from the top of the mounting rail to the centerline of the scope tube. Low, medium, and high are not universal measurements across different manufacturers, so compare the actual listed height instead of relying only on the height name.
| Keystone Height | Recommended Starting Point | Shop |
|---|---|---|
| .850" Low | Lower hunting, sporting, and rimfire configurations with smaller objective bells | View Low |
| .990" Medium | Larger objective bells, heavier barrel contours, or setups requiring additional clearance | View Medium |
| 1.275" High | Tall rifle configurations, chassis systems, or some AR-style platforms | View High |

EGW 1-inch rings are precision machined in the USA to provide consistent scope-tube contact and secure clamping. Multiple series and measured heights allow shooters to build a mounting system around the specific requirements of their optic, rail, barrel, and shooting position.
No. The ring diameter must match the scope's main tube diameter. A 30mm scope requires 30mm rings.
Generally, choose the lowest height that provides safe clearance and a comfortable, repeatable cheek weld. Also confirm clearance around the barrel, action, bolt handle, and any lens caps.
Yes. EGW Keystone rings use a squared recoil lug designed to fit both Picatinny and Weaver-style rail slots.
