The bolt knob is the primary touchpoint between you and your rifle's action. An EGW premium bolt knob provides a superior feel and enhanced control that factory parts simply cannot match. Each knob is precision-machined in our Quakertown, Pennsylvania facility from solid 7075 T6 billet aluminum, offering a refined, custom solution for the discerning shooter and professional gunsmith.
Upgrading your bolt knob is about more than just aesthetics; it's about creating a perfect interface with your firearm. Our knobs are designed to provide an instant ergonomic improvement over factory parts.
Installation is typically a simple, direct-fit process. Most rifle bolt handles are already threaded for the standard 5/16" x 24 pattern. Simply unscrew your existing knob and screw the new EGW knob on. We recommend applying a small drop of blue Loctite® to the threads before final tightening to ensure a secure fit that will not loosen under recoil.
Some factory bolt handles are one solid piece and are not threaded. In this case, installation would require a qualified gunsmith to cut the factory knob off and then drill and tap the bolt handle to accept a 5/16" x 24 thread. Please verify your rifle's bolt handle before ordering.
Modern high-power scopes often have very large eyepiece bells. A standard or oversized bolt knob can collide with the scope eyepiece when the bolt is fully retracted. Our Undersized Bolt Knob is intentionally shorter to provide the necessary clearance, allowing for smooth, interference-free cycling of the action without compromising grip.
