This is the versatile problem-solver for Savage shooters. Originally designed for the Savage 220 Slug Gun to clear large shotgun scope bells, this rail also fits any standard Savage Round Back Long Action (Model 110, 111, etc.). If you have a long action rifle but your scope has a large objective lens or short eye relief that hits a standard length rail, this shortened version is the perfect solution.

Machined from domestic 6061 T6 aircraft aluminum, this rail is lightweight and rigid. It features the standard Long Action hole spacing (4.630") and includes our dual hardware pack (#6-48 screws).

Screw Compatibility Guide

This mount is drilled for #6-48 Torx Head Screws.

Screw Diameter Check:
  • #6 Screws: approx .13" diameter

If you are unsure, you can test fit the included screws gently by hand.

Savage 220 & Long Action FAQ

Why is this rail shortened?

Standard Long Action rails extend further forward over the barrel nut. On a slug gun like the 220, or on rifles with large scopes, this can interfere with the objective bell. We shortened the front section to provide maximum clearance for your optic.

Will this fit the Savage 212?

No. The Savage 212 (12 Gauge) has a larger receiver diameter and different dimensions. You need our specific Savage 212 mount.

Can I use this on a regular .30-06 Savage 110?

Yes. This rail fits the exact same hole spacing (4.630") as the standard Savage Round Back Long Action. It is fully compatible with calibers like .270, .30-06, and .300 Win Mag.
