Installation & Overview

(Watch our guide on how to properly torque and install your EGW rail).

Replace the factory weaver bases on your Remington 710 or 770 with a solid one-piece solution. These budget-friendly rifles often come with pre-mounted scopes that use proprietary or flimsy mounts. Our Picatinny rail converts the receiver to a universal mounting platform, allowing you to use high-quality rings and optics for better accuracy and reliability.

Machined from domestic 6061 T6 aircraft aluminum, this rail is lightweight and rigid. The center channel reduces weight without sacrificing durability. The cross slots run the full length of the mount, giving you the flexibility to position your scope rings exactly where you need them for proper eye relief—a common issue with the short receiver length of the 710/770 series.

Remington 710 / 770 Rail FAQ

Will this fit the Remington 700?

No. The hole spacing on the Remington 710 and 770 (2.460") is completely different from the Model 700. This rail will not line up with a Remington 700 receiver.

Do I need to remove my rear iron sight?

Usually, no. This rail is high enough (0.4") to clear most factory iron sights. However, depending on the objective lens size of your new scope, you might need to remove the rear sight to fit the scope bell.

Is this better than the 2-piece bases?

Yes. A one-piece Picatinny rail connects the front and rear mounting points, adding rigidity to the receiver and ensuring better alignment for your scope rings. It also gives you more slots to move the scope forward or backward for perfect eye relief.
