The Marlin 1895 and 336 lever-action rifles are legendary big-bore platforms celebrated for their rugged dependability. While traditionally run with open sights, choosing a proper marlin 336 scope setup allows hunters to squeeze maximum downrange accuracy out of these classic platforms. This heavy-duty, one-piece EGW Picatinny rail is designed to bolt down seamlessly using the four factory drilled and tapped holes located directly on top of your receiver.
Our low-profile rail profile is engineered specifically to ensure clean physical clearance around the hammer spur. This allows you to mount your optics using low or medium rings to keep your cheek welded tightly to the stock, without restricting your thumb's access to the manual hammer assembly during field operation.

Designed for Rugged Lever-Action Performance
Big-bore lever actions introduce harsh directional vibrations under ignition. Our rigid aluminum base spans the full length of the receiver bridge, neutralizing twisting forces and ensuring your zero never shifts in the field.
- ✔ True drop-in fit using your factory drilled and tapped receiver holes
- ✔ Center channel profile often allows usage of factory iron sights when scope is removed
- ✔ Promotes clean ejection port clearances on side-ejecting actions
- ✔ Lightweight, durable design preserves your rifle's handling balance
Choosing the Right MOA Bias Profile
We offer our mounts in multiple cant setups to match your specific shooting distances and caliber requirements perfectly:
- ✔ 0 MOA Base: Ideal if your primary hunting targets rest between 0 and 500 yards.
- ✔ 20 MOA Base: Provides extra internal elevation tracking for long-range targets out to 500–1,000 yards.
- ✔ Note: When running our 20 MOA canted rail, we highly recommend establishing your baseline zero at 200 yards.
Why Choose a One-Piece Picatinny Rail?
- ✔ Eliminates alignment errors commonly seen with traditional split two-piece bases
- ✔ Provides an unyielding, unified bridge mount baseline
- ✔ Offers continuous slot spacing for flexible scope ring and eye relief adjustment
- ✔ Works seamlessly with both Picatinny and classic Weaver-style rings
Picatinny vs Weaver – Why Picatinny Wins
- ✔ Standardized, precise cross-slot spacing prevents shifting under heavy recoil force
- ✔ Offers a wider, more robust contact surface than narrow Weaver channels
- ✔ Broadly recognized as the undisputed industry standard for modern hunting and tactical optics

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this base fit an early model Camp Carbine 9mm?
No. Early-production Camp Carbine models utilized a different hole spacing matrix. We recommend measuring your receiver dimensions to confirm a match with our published guidelines before ordering.
Does this mount require permanent gunsmith drilling?
No. This rail is engineered explicitly as a direct drop-in setup, matching the pre-existing factory drilled and tapped layout found on top of modern Marlin actions.
Does this base work with classic Weaver rings?
Yes. Our standardized Picatinny rail configurations are backward compatible with both traditional cross-slot Weaver-style rings and modern MIL-STD Picatinny mounting rings.
