What's the best way to mount a scope to a Marlin 1895 or Marlin 336 Lever Action?

The Marlin 1895 and 336 lever action rifles are all big bore lever actions produced by Marlin Firearms. They were produced in a multitude of calibers, most commonly chambered in .45-70 and .30-30. It is common to want to put a scope on rifles these days and using our mounting system is an easy way to accomplish that. Our rings and bases are proudly made in the USA in one of our CNC machines.

Our picatinny rails offer the best way to mount a scope or red dot to your rifle. Our picatinny rail is easily mounted using the 4 factory drilled and tapped screw holes in the top of the receiver. This mount is the perfect option for Marlin 1895 Lever Action Rifles, Marlin 45 70, Marlin 336 Lever Action Rifles, Marlin 375 Lever Action Rifles, Marlin 444 Lever Action Rifles, Camp Carbine Lever Action Rifles

This mount fits the same applications as the Weaver 63B.

We recommend measuring the hole spacing in your receiver to confirm it matches with the dimensions we have published.

Why is the EGW scope mount the best for my Marlin Lever Action?

Picatinny cross slots run the full length of the rail, which gives the shooter flexibility when mounting scope rings and other accessories. The channel in the center reduces the overall mass of the mount. Also, in many cases, it will not obstruct usage of factory iron sights. Our one-piece scope mounts are the obvious choice for hunters and tactical shooters alike.

We machine these in our shop using one of our machining centers. After machining, the mounts are tumbled, sand blasted, and Type II anodized for long lasting durability.

Installation: We recommend 20 inch lbs of torque and a drip of blue loctite (loctite is available through our website and is sold separately).

If you have any other questions, please send our customer service an email or give us a call, we are here to help you find the correct mounting solution for your application.

We recommend:

0 MOA - if shooting 0-500 yards

20 MOA - if shooting 500-1000 yards

When zeroing your rifle with a 20 MOA mount, we recommend zeroing at 200 yards.

The entire mount and accessories (from the mounting screws and wrench down to the packaging) are made in the USA.
