EGW Keystone 34mm Medium Scope Rings
EGW Keystone 1.275-inch medium-profile scope rings provide additional clearance for scopes with a 34mm main tube. This configuration is a strong choice when a 56mm objective needs more clearance than the .990-inch low rings provide, or when the rifle, optic, barrel, scope caps, or stock geometry requires a higher centerline.
These rings are precision CNC-machined from 6061 aluminum at our Quakertown, Pennsylvania facility and designed for Picatinny and Weaver-style cross-slot rails.

The 1.275-inch measurement is taken from the top of the mounting rail to the centerline of the scope tube. When Should You Choose 1.275-Inch Medium Rings?
The .990-inch low 34mm Keystone rings were designed to work with 56mm objectives while keeping the optic low. Choose the 1.275-inch medium rings when that low configuration does not provide sufficient clearance or when a higher optic position better matches the rifle and shooter.
Common reasons to select medium rings include:
- A 56mm objective that needs additional clearance
- An objective bell larger than 56mm
- A heavy or straight barrel contour
- Thick scope caps or lens covers
- A long-action rifle or limited scope positioning room
- A 20 MOA rail or specialized mounting setup

- Additional bolt-handle or action clearance
Minor fitment may be required. Measure the complete setup and verify that the objective bell, scope caps, controls, and bolt handle move freely without contacting the rifle.

Installation and Torque
Confirm the firearm is unloaded before beginning installation. Inspect and clean the rail, rings, and hardware, then follow the instructions supplied with the rings and scope.
- Tighten the Keystone crossbolts to 65 inch-pounds.
- Tighten the ring-cap screws evenly to a maximum of 15 inch-pounds.
- If the scope manufacturer specifies a lower maximum torque, follow the lower specification.
- Verify proper eye relief, scope position, clearance, and operation of all firearm controls.
Important: Do not exceed the scope manufacturer's published torque specification. Excessive ring-cap torque can damage the scope tube or internal components.

These rings fit scopes with a 34mm main tube. They will not fit a 1-inch or 30mm scope tube.
Will these rings work with a 56mm objective?
Yes. The 1.275-inch medium height provides more clearance than the .990-inch low rings for a 34mm scope with a 56mm objective. The low rings were designed to keep 56mm objectives close to the rifle, while the medium rings are appropriate when the rifle, barrel, scope caps, action, or optic dimensions require additional room.
Can these rings accommodate an objective larger than 56mm?
The additional centerline height makes these rings a strong starting point for objective bells larger than 56mm. Fitment cannot be guaranteed from the listed lens size alone, so measure the objective bell's outside diameter and the complete rifle setup before ordering.
How is the 1.275-inch height measured?
EGW measures ring height from the top mounting surface of the rail to the centerline of the scope tube.
Do Keystone rings fit Weaver rails?
Keystone rings are designed for Picatinny and Weaver-style cross-slot rails. Verify the dimensions and condition of the specific rail before installation.
Are the rings sold individually?
No. This product includes one pair of Keystone scope rings.
Can I add an EGW Piggyback System?
Yes. Select the appropriate 34mm piggyback ring cap and the separate adapter plate for the intended optic or accessory. Both components are required for a complete piggyback setup.
