EGW Keystone 30mm High Scope Rings
EGW Keystone 1.275-inch high-profile scope rings position a 30mm optic higher above the mounting rail when additional clearance or a higher sight line is required. These rings are precision CNC-machined from 6061 aluminum at our Quakertown, Pennsylvania facility and designed for Picatinny and Weaver-style cross-slot rails.

The 1.275-inch measurement is taken from the top of the mounting rail to the centerline of the scope tube. When Should You Choose 1.275-Inch High Rings?
Choose the 1.275-inch high configuration when the low or medium Keystone rings do not provide enough clearance, or when the rifle requires a higher optic centerline for a comfortable and repeatable shooting position.
Common reasons to select high rings include:
- A flat-top rifle or chassis configuration
- A tall or adjustable stock comb
- A large objective bell or thick lens covers

Minor fitment may be required. High rings do not automatically guarantee proper eye alignment or clearance on every rifle. Measure the complete setup and verify that the optic can be positioned for proper eye relief and a consistent cheek weld.

Installation and Torque
Confirm the firearm is unloaded before beginning installation. Inspect and clean the rail, rings, and hardware, then follow the instructions supplied with the rings and scope.
- Tighten the Keystone crossbolts to 65 inch-pounds.
- Tighten the ring-cap screws evenly to a maximum of 15 inch-pounds.
- If the scope manufacturer specifies a lower maximum torque, follow the lower specification.
- Verify proper eye relief, scope position, clearance, and operation of all firearm controls.
Important: Do not exceed the scope manufacturer's published torque specification. Excessive ring-cap torque can damage the scope tube or internal components.
Frequently Asked Questions
What scopes fit these rings?
These rings fit scopes with a 30mm main tube. They will not fit a 1-inch or 34mm scope tube.
Are these rings intended for AR-style rifles?
The 1.275-inch height is commonly used on flat-top rifles and can provide a more suitable sight line than low rings. Proper height still depends on the rifle, stock or brace, cheek position, scope dimensions, and the shooter's preferred head position.
Will these rings clear a 56mm objective?
The high centerline provides substantial objective clearance, but fitment cannot be guaranteed from the listed objective size alone. Measure the objective bell's outside diameter and account for the rail, receiver, barrel, handguard, lens caps, bolt handle, and scope controls.
Can these rings be used on a bolt-action rifle?
Yes, provided the rifle has a compatible Picatinny or Weaver-style cross-slot rail and the 1.275-inch height creates the desired clearance and shooting position. High rings are often considered for chassis systems, adjustable combs, heavy barrels, and specialized optic setups.

Yes. Select the appropriate 30mm piggyback ring cap and the separate adapter plate for the intended optic or accessory. Both components are required for a complete piggyback setup.
