Confirm your receiver family before ordering. Standard Howa 1500 short action, standard Howa 1500 long action, Howa Mini Action and Howa 1500 Superlite use different rail patterns. They are not interchangeable. Review the fitment notes on the individual product page before purchase. Minor fitment may be required.

Standard Duty
Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum for a lightweight, dependable one-piece scope base.
HD
Machined from 7075-T6 aluminum for customers who want a higher-strength aluminum rail.
Steel HD
Machined from carbon steel for standard Howa 1500 short action rifles.
0 MOA or 20 MOA
Choose a neutral 0 MOA base or a 20 MOA incline that preserves more of the optic's elevation adjustment for longer-range dialing.
Howa 1500 Short Action Scope Mounts
For standard Howa 1500 Short Action and corresponding Weatherby Vanguard Short Action receivers. These rails do not fit the Howa 1500 Superlite.
Howa 1500 Long Action Scope Mounts
For standard Howa 1500 Long Action and corresponding Weatherby Vanguard Long Action receivers. Choose Standard Duty or HD in 0 MOA or 20 MOA.
Howa Mini Action Scope Mounts
These rails are made specifically for the Howa Mini Action receiver. Mini Action rails do not fit standard Howa 1500 or Superlite receivers.
Howa 1500 Superlite Scope Mounts
Superlite-specific HD rails for the Howa 1500 Superlite Short Action. These do not fit the standard Howa 1500 or Howa Mini Action.
Howa 1500 Scope Base Fitment Guide
The rifle name alone is not enough to identify the correct base. Match the receiver family and action shown on the rifle or in its documentation to the correct product section.

How to Choose a Howa Picatinny Rail
Choose 0 MOA for a neutral base
A 0 MOA rail does not add elevation bias. It is a straightforward choice for general-purpose setups when the optic already provides the adjustment range you need.
Choose 20 MOA for additional elevation bias
A 20 MOA rail angles the optic downward relative to the bore, preserving more upward adjustment for longer-range dialing. Confirm your optic can obtain the desired zero with a 20 MOA base.
Choose the material and length
Standard Duty 6061-T6 keeps weight down, HD 7075-T6 increases aluminum strength, and Steel HD provides a carbon steel option. The 16-inch extended short-action rail provides additional forward mounting space for specialized optic configurations.
Installation and Fitment Note
Always verify the rifle is unloaded before beginning work. Confirm the receiver family, action length, screw fit and screw length before installation. Clean the receiver and fasteners, then follow the torque specification and installation directions on the individual product page. Mounting hardware is included as described on each listing. Minor fitment may be required. If you are uncertain about fit or installation, consult a qualified gunsmith.
