Description

HD Picatinny Rail for Browning X-Bolt Super Short Action (SSA) - 0 MOA

The ultimate accuracy upgrade for your Browning X-Bolt Super Short Action (SSA). Precision-machined from solid 7075 T6 aircraft-grade aluminum and finished in a matte black hardcoat, this one-piece Picatinny rail provides a rock-solid, continuous mounting platform for your optic. Whether you are hunting varmints or punching paper, this mount eliminates the alignment issues of two-piece bases and ensures your scope holds zero under any conditions.

CRITICAL FITMENT: MEASURE BEFORE BUYING

1. DOES NOT FIT X-BOLT II (Gen 2): Browning does not produce the new X-Bolt II in a Super Short Action. If you have an X-Bolt II (logo on receiver), you likely need the standard Short Action rail.

2. Do not assume action size by caliber: To our knowledge, Browning has started producing some .22-250 and .204 Ruger receivers with this Super Short Action spacing, while others use standard Short Action spacing.

YOU MUST MEASURE: The center-to-center spacing of the two inner holes on this rail is 2.825". Please measure your inside hole spacing to confirm fitment before ordering.

Compatibility Guide

  • Fits: Browning X-Bolt Super Short Action (SSA) - Gen 1 Only
  • Hole Spacing: 2.825" (Center Spread)
  • Common Calibers: .223 WSSM, .243 WSSM, .25 WSSM
  • Variable Calibers (MEASURE FIRST): .223 Rem, .204 Ruger, .22-250
  • Does NOT Fit: Browning X-Bolt II (Gen 2)

The EGW Solution for Your X-Bolt

The secret to repeatable accuracy is a mounting platform that will not shift or fail. Here’s why our HD rail is the superior choice:

  • Machined from 7075 T6 Billet: Our HD rail is machined from solid, American-sourced 7075 T6 aluminum, providing the strength of steel at a fraction of the weight for maximum rigidity.
  • Superior One-Piece Design: Our one-piece Picatinny rail eliminates the alignment issues common with two-piece bases, ensuring your scope rings are perfectly concentric.
  • Full-Length Picatinny Slots: Full-length cross-slots give you maximum flexibility for scope ring placement and proper eye relief, and are compatible with both Picatinny and Weaver rings.
  • Proudly Made in the USA: We machine these in our shop in Quakertown, PA using our own machining centers. After machining, the mounts are tumbled, sandblasted, and Type III anodized for long-lasting durability.

Gunsmith & Installation Warning: Check Your Countersink

We STRONGLY suggest taking your gun to a qualified and competent gunsmith to have this mount installed.

Older X-Bolts had front screw holes threaded to the top of the receiver. Newer models have a deeper countersink. Our mounts made after January 2021 (date code '21' or higher on the bottom) have a deeper countersink to match newer rifles.

We recommend test fitting the screws before Loctiting. If the screws only engage with one thread (on an older mount), please contact us for longer screws (.335" OAL). If the screws bottom out (on a newer mount with an older rail), we recommend removing a small amount of material from the screw. The front screws can be torqued to 10 in/lbs.

X-Bolt SSA Scope Mount FAQ

What is a 0 MOA scope mount for?

A 0 MOA mount is a parallel mount that has no built-in angle. It is the perfect choice for hunters and shooters operating within the standard effective range of their cartridge (0-500 yards). It ensures you have the full range of your scope's internal adjustment for easy zeroing.

Installation Recommendations?

We recommend 20 inch-lbs of torque for the mounting screws and a drip of blue Loctite (sold separately). Always test fit screws first to ensure they do not bottom out or have insufficient engagement due to the countersink variations mentioned above.
