The EGW 1911 .404 Radius Hard Sear is designed for shooters and pistolsmiths who want a different trigger characteristic than the traditional crisp 1911 break.

Instead of using a conventional flat sear engagement surface, the working surface at the nose of this sear is manufactured with a .404" radius. This curved geometry changes the way the sear moves through engagement with the hammer hooks as the trigger is pressed.

The result is a trigger that can be set up with a smooth, progressive release. Rather than pressure building against a distinct wall followed by a sudden clean break, the trigger moves progressively through the release. This is commonly referred to as a rolling trigger or roll release.

This is not a drop-in trigger component. Proper installation requires evaluation of sear and hammer engagement as well as the complete 1911 fire-control and safety system.
