This is not simply a standard single-stack 1911 slide stop with a different finish. EGW designed this slide stop specifically around double-stack 1911 / 2011-style 9mm pistols, including a .200" pin with a flat, faced-off end rather than the rounded or domed end found on many traditional 1911 slide stops.

The EGW Double Stack 1911 Slide Stop was developed specifically for modern double-stack 1911 and 2011-style pistols chambered in 9mm.
Rather than adapting a traditional single-stack slide stop to the double-stack platform, EGW designed this component around the geometry and appearance commonly used in modern double-stack 1911 builds.
The slide stop uses a .200" diameter pin with a flat, faced-off end. Instead of the end of the pin extending into a rounded or domed profile, the pin terminates with a flat face for a cleaner appearance on the opposite side of the frame.
On the control side, this slide stop uses the same paddle design as our EGW Ridge Slide Stop. The raised Ridge pattern provides a positive textured surface for thumb engagement while maintaining a clean, low-profile appearance.
The entire component is machined from solid stainless steel bar stock and finished with a glass bead treatment for a uniform matte stainless appearance.

Modern double-stack 1911 and 2011-style pistols may use different frame dimensions and exterior styling than a traditional single-stack 1911.
EGW developed this slide stop specifically for the double-stack 9mm platform rather than treating it as a generic 1911 replacement part.
The result is a slide stop with application-specific geometry, a .200" pin, a flat-faced pin end, and the same Ridge paddle design used on EGW's popular Ridge Slide Stops.

This slide stop was developed specifically for double-stack 1911 / 2011-style 9mm pistols. It should not be treated as a universal replacement for every single-stack or double-stack 1911.
.200" Flat-Faced Slide Stop Pin
One of the distinguishing features of this slide stop is the design of the .200" diameter pin.
On many traditional 1911 slide stops, the exposed end of the pin is rounded or domed. On the EGW Double Stack Slide Stop, the end of the pin is faced off flat.
This gives the exposed end of the slide stop pin a flatter, cleaner profile on the opposite side of the frame and better matches the appearance commonly used on modern double-stack 1911 builds.

Machined From Solid Stainless Steel
The EGW Double Stack Slide Stop is machined from solid stainless steel bar stock.
Machining the component from solid material allows EGW to control important dimensions throughout the part, including the .200" slide stop pin, internal lug geometry, and exterior paddle.
After machining, the stainless steel receives a glass bead finish for a uniform matte appearance that pairs naturally with stainless or contrasting double-stack 1911 builds.
