Installation & Overview
The EGW red dot sight mount adapter plate for the Smith & Wesson M&P 22 Compact replaces the factory rear sight and allows you to mount popular Docter footprint optics directly to your pistol slide without permanent modification. Designed specifically for the M&P 22 Compact platform, this mount provides a low-profile and streamlined optic mounting solution for training, plinking, steel shooting and recreational range use.
This mount is compatible with the Vortex Venom (open emitter), Vortex Viper, Burris FastFire series and other optics sharing the Docter footprint. By mounting directly into the factory rear sight dovetail, the optic sits lower than many Picatinny-style adapter systems while maintaining a clean overall appearance.
Machined from 7075 aluminum and finished in matte black hardcoat anodizing, this mount is designed to provide a strong and lightweight mounting platform for your optic. The dovetail uses a progressive taper and is intended to install from left to right with the muzzle facing forward.
Please Note: Using this mount in combination with a red dot sight will increase the weight on the slide of your firearm. This may lead to cycling issues, especially on .22LR firearms.
Due to manufacturing tolerances between firearms, minor fitting may be required.

Mounting Hardware Included
- (2) 6-32 x 3/8 Flat Head Cap Screws
- (1) 6-32 x 3/16 Cup Point Set Screw
- (2) 6-32 x 5/16 Button Head Screws
Installation Instructions
- Remove the factory rear sight
- Install the EGW Sight Mount into the dovetail from left to right
- Tighten the set screw if applicable
- Place the optic onto the EGW Sight Mount
- Apply blue Loctite to the mounting screws
- Torque mounting screws to 15 in/lbs
