Works beautifully on my prodigy with the included spring. Action of the slide is smoother and looks better with the stainless end matching the barrel. The “tool” works well and can easily be replaced with any paper clip or similar. I have never seen proof of the SA factory 2pc guide rod coming loose, but now I have peace of mind on that as well. Go ahead and get this along with the EGW extended slide release at a minimum for your prodigy

I love how the plug fills in the void between the barrel and factory plug. Being able to capture the guide rod spring is a HUGE advantage and benefit for cleaning. The included "capture device" was a little short so I just made another one using a paperclip.
