30mm Scope Rings

The Rock-Solid Solution for Your 30mm Rifle Scope

You've invested in a quality 30mm rifle scope; now secure it with rings you can trust. EGW 30mm scope rings are precision-machined in the USA to provide an unyielding grip on your optic. Engineered for a perfect fit on any Picatinny or Weaver-style rail, our rings ensure your scope stays locked in place, guaranteeing zero retention shot after shot. This is the last set of 30mm ring mounts you'll ever need.

Step 1: Choose Your Ring Series (Picatinny vs. Weaver)

The first step is to match your rings to the scope base on your rifle. We offer two distinct series based on your rail type:

  • HD (Heavy-Duty) Rings: These are our premium, Picatinny-spec rings. They are designed to fit precisely on MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rails only. The squared recoil lug fits snugly into the Picatinny slot for maximum engagement under heavy recoil.
  • Keystone Rings: These are our versatile, Weaver-style rings. The recoil lug is dimensioned to fit both Weaver and Picatinny rails, making them a flexible option for a wide variety of setups.

Step 2: Choose Your Ring Height

Once you've selected the correct series, choose the height that best fits your scope's objective lens. The goal is to mount the scope as low as possible while ensuring the objective bell does not touch the barrel.

  • Low Rings (.850"): Our most popular choice. These low-profile scope rings are expertly designed to provide clearance for most scopes with an objective lens up to 50mm on standard hunting rifles.
  • Medium Rings (.990"): The perfect choice for rifles that require a bit more clearance, or for scopes with objective lenses up to 55mm.
  • High Rings (1.275"): When you need maximum clearance for large objective lenses (56mm and over) or for mounting on an AR-style rifle with a full-length top rail, our high rings provide the necessary height.

30mm Scope Ring FAQ

What is the difference between your HD and Keystone rings?

The key difference is compatibility. HD Rings are made to the strict MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny specification and will only fit on Picatinny rails. Keystone Rings are made to Weaver specifications, which allows them to fit on both Weaver and Picatinny rails.

How do I know what ring height to get?

Our .850" Low rings are designed to work with the majority of rifle/scope combinations up to a 50mm objective. However, barrel contour can affect clearance. The safest method is to measure. You can measure from the top of your base to the center of your scope, or consult a scope ring height calculator online. When in doubt, choosing a slightly taller ring is the safest option.

What are the torque specs for these 30mm rings?

For our HD Scope Rings, we recommend 15-18 in/lbs for the top ring cap screws and 65 in/lbs for the side crossbolt nut. For our Keystone rings, we recommend 15-20 in/lbs for the top screws and 20-25 in/lbs for the crossbolt nut. Always use a quality torque wrench.
