Picatinny Scope Mounts

The EGW Advantage

Maximum Compatibility: Picatinny & Weaver

Don't get locked into one system. Our rails are machined to the strict MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny specification, but with versatile cross-slots engineered to securely accept both Picatinny and most Weaver-style rings.

Uncompromising Quality & USA Manufacturing

Every mount is CNC machined in our Quakertown, PA facility. We use premium American materials like solid steel and 7075 T6 aluminum—never cheap, inconsistent castings.

How to Choose: 0 MOA vs. 20 MOA

For shooting beyond 500 yards, a 20 MOA base is essential. It preserves your scope's internal elevation adjustment for long-range shots. For typical use within 500 yards, a standard 0 MOA base is the perfect choice.

Frequently Asked Questions

When do I need a 20 MOA scope base?

A 20 MOA base is highly recommended for anyone shooting beyond 500-600 yards. The built-in slope gives your scope 20 extra minutes of angle in elevation, which allows you to dial your turret for long-range shots without "bottoming out" your scope's internal adjustment range.

Do I need to bed my EGW scope base?

Because EGW scope bases are precision-machined for a specific firearm action, bedding is generally not necessary for a perfect fit.

What is the difference between Picatinny and Weaver?

A Picatinny base has wider, square-bottomed recoil slots with standardized spacing. Weaver bases have narrower slots with inconsistent spacing. All our bases are made to the Picatinny spec, giving them the advantage of accepting both Picatinny and most Weaver-style rings. For a full technical guide, read our detailed article here.

Are EGW Picatinny rails MIL-STD-1913 compliant?

Yes, absolutely. Every Picatinny rail we manufacture is precision-machined to the official U.S. MIL-STD-1913 specification. This ensures a consistent, reliable, and universal mounting platform that will fit any true Picatinny-compatible rings and accessories.
