The EGW Hunter Series Howa 1500 / Weatherby Vanguard Short Action Picatinny Rail combines high-strength 7075-T6 aluminum construction with a streamlined profile developed specifically for hunting and field rifles.
Machined from solid 7075-T6 aluminum, the Hunter Series provides a strong, lightweight one-piece mounting platform for scopes and other compatible optics.
Compared with a traditional full-length Heavy Duty rail, the Hunter Series uses a shorter front profile and chamfered edges. The reduced front overhang helps provide additional clearance around larger objective lenses, while the beveled exterior creates a cleaner profile for a rifle that will be carried in the field.
This version incorporates 20 MOA of built-in elevation, helping preserve more of your scope's internal elevation adjustment for longer-range shooting.
The rail is finished with Black Type III Hardcoat Anodizing for a durable exterior surface suitable for hunting, range use, and demanding field conditions.

Installation & Fitment

The receiver's center hole spread should measure approximately 3.886".
Clean the receiver and mounting hardware before installation and verify that the rail sits completely flush against the receiver before tightening the screws.
EGW recommends tightening the mounting screws to 20 in-lbs with a small amount of blue threadlocker.
