Smith and Wesson's rear sight dovetails are known to vary in dimensions. Our sights are made to the same tolerances. Some users may have trouble installing our plate on their slide due to the varying tolerances in your slides. Please keep this in mind when ordering. Our return policy does allow for returns of unused and undamaged parts. These mounts should be installed and checked by a qualified gunsmith. Simply remove the rear sight on your gun and replace it with our mount in order to mount your Leupold DeltaPoint Pro, JPoint, Redfield Accelerator, or Optima red-dot sight. You can take our mount off and replace your rear sight at any time. Mounting hardware included.

Installation Instructions
- Remove the rear sight*
- Install the EGW Sight Mount in the dovetail
- Tighten set screw (if applicable)
- Place the red dot sight on the EGW Sight Mount
(placing a small piece of paper between the red dot sight and the sight mount will make for easier removal and will keep Loctite off of the red dot sight.)
- Apply blue Loctite to the provided mounting screws
- Torque mounting screws to 15in/lbs

*Rear sight pusher tool highly recommended*

The dovetail was too tight and ended up having to be filed for fit (even after the freezer trick). Also I could feel the optic mounting scres start to strip the plate before reaching 15 "/lbs. Hopefully, I stopped turning quick enough abd the blue loctite holds.

Nice mount however extremely tight and very difficult to drift in place, it some serious work and force to get it place on my S&W M&P .22 pistol.

Fit and performed as described. Customer service was very helpful and patient with helping me make sure I got the correct mount for my pistol. Will definitely be purchasing again for a future needs.

Very solid, secure mounting system. Once installed it does not move… will hold zero 100%. I have ordered twice and both are great quality. Fast shipping… I Highly recommend these mounts for anyone with a little older model gun that is not optic ready… Dot is a little higher with mount then an optic ready gun but definitely works great… I have a few with the mounts and a few optic ready weapons and the only difference is being able to use the stock sights. Definitely not a big deal to me… Highly recommend…

Shipping was ok. Prices bit high. Did Not fit. I lost package and can not return. My fault I’ll eat it. Looked again for right product and no go. Kinda disappointed. The product that did come was respectable so not all bad just don’t have what I needed. Hope this helps sorry….

Hard to get on but for a good reason! Excellent quality and very affordable! I took this to my local gunsmith given my limit tool availability in an apartment setting. Loved the tactical Cheesesteak! Where can I get more??

I won a Vortex Defender CCW red dot sight and my .40 S&W semi-auto wasn't equipped with the correct bracket to attach to my handgun. I was pretty bummed so I called Vortex and they directed me to EGW, said they're one of their main parts suppliers and they should have the piece I need. I called EGW and told the rep what I had and what I was looking for. It arrived in a couple days. I replaced the rear dovetail sight with the bracket they sent and the red dot attached perfectly!
