Red Dirt Trigger FAQ

Is fitting required?

For most Prodigy pistols, the shoe is designed to be a close drop-in fit. However, 1911/2011 tolerances vary. Minor fitting of the trigger shoe height may be required for some grip modules. The pre-travel and over-travel must be adjusted by the user during installation to ensure the trigger resets and the safety functions correctly.

Why is a milled bow better?

Stamped bows (like the factory one) are bent into shape, which can lead to flexing or out-of-square geometry that rubs against the magazine or frame. A CNC milled bow is a solid, rigid piece of steel that stays perfectly square, transmitting your finger's energy directly to the sear without drag.
