Why We Refuse to Comply

At EGW, we refuse to become an arm of the state surveillance apparatus.

We believe California Assembly Bill 1263 is unconstitutional, unconscionable, and a direct violation of the Second Amendment. This law attempts to force private companies to collect and retain your government-issued ID and mandates that you identify yourself to mail carriers just to receive standard parts.

We will not comply with a law that requires us to help the government track your purchases.

To continue shipping directly to you, the state of California would force us to violate your privacy and security. We would be required to hold your personal documents on file and subject you to invasive carrier-verified ID checks at your doorstep. We believe that handing over the security of your personal information for the "convenience" of a home delivery is a trade-off no American should have to make.

Because we are unwilling to expose your data or participate in this unconstitutional overreach, we have made the difficult decision to stop direct sales of restricted items to California residents. We hope you understand that this decision was made to protect you and your privacy.

What We Will Ship Directly to You

We will continue to accept direct orders and ship to your home WITHOUT ID verification for the following specific categories:

• ✔ Picatinny Scope Mounts & Rails
• ✔ Red Dot Mounts & Adapter Plates
• ✔ Scope Rings

For ALL other items in our catalog, you must purchase them through a local California FFL Dealer. We will not ship any other parts directly to non-FFL addresses in California.

If you need parts not listed above, please place your direct order no later than December 31, 2025. Orders placed after this date containing non-approved items will be canceled.
