What is a Picatinny rail? A Picatinny rail (also called a Picatinny scope base or Picatinny scope rail) is a standardized mounting platform built to MIL-STD-1913 dimensions for consistent ring fitment and repeatable zero. Standard-Duty rails are our go-to choice for most rifles, hunting setups, and target shooting applications.

We use domestic 6061 T6 aircraft-grade aluminum for this series. It provides an excellent strength-to-weight ratio, making it tough enough for years of use while keeping your rifle nimble. Unless you are shooting extreme magnum calibers or using your rifle as a blunt force tool, 6061 is more than strong enough to hold zero forever.
Not sure which rail to choose? Here is the breakdown:
Yes! One of the biggest advantages of our Picatinny rails is backward compatibility. The cross-slot design allows you to mount most Weaver-style rings and accessories. However, many Picatinny accessories will not fit on Weaver bases. Upgrading to our rail gives you the best of both worlds.
A 0 MOA rail is ideal for most hunting and target shooting under ~500–600 yards. A 20 MOA rail adds built-in elevation for long-range dialing, helping preserve your scope’s internal adjustment for extended distances.
Absolutely. Every EGW rail comes with the correct high-tensile Torx® screws for your specific action, along with a Torx driver bit. We recommend using a torque wrench set to 20 in/lbs and a small drop of Blue Loctite for installation.
It's easy. Use the "Filter By" menu on the left side of this page (or the "Shop by Brand" links above). Select your gun manufacturer and then your specific model. We machine rails for hundreds of specific actions, ensuring a perfect, no-gap fit for your receiver.
