Our Tikka scope rails ship complete with both #6-48 and #8-40 high-tensile mounting screws directly in the box. Factory configuration threads vary across tactical chassis setups and rimfire lines—standard hunting rifles or T1x models typically utilize standard #6-48 layout threads, whereas modern centerfire precision competition models can come factory pre-tapped for larger, heavy-duty #8-40 hardware. Providing both thread pitches ensures you can complete your installation safely without hardware mismatch delays.
A 30 MOA canted rail tilts your optic slightly downward relative to the barrel bore line. This forces you to dial your scope turret upward to see a close target, giving you an extra 30 Minutes of Angle of usable internal travel down your turret tracking window. We strictly recommend using a calibrated inch-pound wrench to torque your Tikka rail mounting hardware to exactly 20 inch-pounds.
