Important Compatibility Update: Our Hammer and the New Springfield Prodigy 3.5"

We know many of you are excited about the new Springfield Prodigy 3.5" model hitting the market, and like us, you're probably already thinking about potential upgrades! We've been putting our popular custom hammer through its paces with this new compact powerhouse and wanted to share an important compatibility finding.

As demonstrated in our latest video HERE, we discovered an issue when installing our aftermarket hammer with the stock grip safety on the Prodigy 3.5".

What's the Issue?

The geometry is tight on these compact platforms. When our hammer rotates rearward as the slide cycles, it makes contact with the factory grip safety. Specifically, the cutout on the stock Prodigy 3.5" grip safety is not deep enough to provide the necessary clearance for our hammer's full range of motion.

What Does This Mean?

This interference prevents the hammer from moving completely back, which in turn stops the slide from cycling fully. If you install our hammer with the factory grip safety on your Prodigy 3.5", the gun will not function correctly.

You Have Two Clear Options:

We want to ensure you have a smooth and functional upgrade path. Here are your choices if you own or plan to own the Prodigy 3.5":

  1. The Full Upgrade Path: If you want to experience the benefits of our custom hammer in your Prodigy 3.5", you must pair it with our Grip Safety specifically designed for the Prodigy. Our grip safety is engineered with the necessary clearance to work seamlessly with our hammer, ensuring proper function and reliability.

  2. Use the Factory Hammer: If you prefer to stick with the grip safety that came installed on your Prodigy 3.5", that's perfectly fine! However, you will need to use the original factory hammer that came with the pistol. Our custom hammer is not compatible with the stock grip safety on this particular 3.5" model.

See it in Action!

We highly encourage you to watch the accompanying video HERE, where we show this interference clearly. Seeing it helps understand exactly what's happening.

Our goal is always to provide high-quality parts and be transparent about how they interact with different firearm models. We want your upgrade experience to be positive and successful!

If you have any questions about this compatibility note or our Prodigy-specific parts, please don't hesitate to reach out to our customer service team.

Thanks for your understanding and continued support!
